Case Studies
The Psychological Software Solutions Educational Research and Policy Team is dedicated to the contribution of scientific-based research to the current body of educational research. In order to achieve this goal, PSS works in collaboration with school districts to conduct scientific-based research to support district behavioral initiatives. Specifically, this PSS team is available to design and conduct research studies based on the data and outcomes collected from the district's implementation of a positive behavioral strategies management system. Their processes include the investigation of student behavior and academic performance through the use of descriptive, inferential, and value-added designs and methodologies.

Examining Educational Research for a Better Understanding of School Bullying
Bullying is now recognized as a pervasive problem in schools across the nation regardless of size, location (urban, suburban, rural) or the composition of the student enrollment. In fact, as the problem is beginning to be better understood, it has become apparent that it is international and transcends cultures. A growing body of educational research has examined the negative impact that bullying has on students victimized by bullying as well as those who perpetrate the bullying. It has shown that these children are at risk for adjustment difficulties such as academic problems, psychological difficulties, and social maladjustment. The problem has become such an epidemic that it has prompted state and federal lawmakers to mandate initiatives that address bullying in schools and develop prevention programs.
